On Tuesday 30th July 2025, WorkWise Sports had the privilege of attending the Careers Fair at Outwood Academy City Fields, proudly representing the exciting world of careers in sport. Our Director, Stephen Green, was on hand throughout the day to speak directly with students, offer insights into the wide-ranging roles within the sports sector, and share real-life stories of how sport can lead to meaningful and fulfilling career pathways.

The event brought together a diverse range of employers, training providers, and organisations, all working towards one goal: to inspire the next generation. With a buzzing atmosphere and enthusiastic student engagement, the day was a fantastic opportunity to connect young people with the opportunities that exist far beyond the pitch.

At the WorkWise Sports stand, students explored how their passions — whether in coaching, fitness, media, health, or leadership — could be turned into professional journeys. Stephen offered tailored advice, answered questions about different routes into the industry, and handed out materials designed to help students begin thinking about their future goals.

Speaking after the event, Stephen commented:

“It was brilliant to see so many students genuinely interested in how sport can shape their careers. Whether it's working in elite performance environments or supporting grassroots programmes, there are so many rewarding paths available. We're proud to be part of helping young people see what’s possible.”
